Dining Guide: Bulldog Barbecue

Located on Biscayne Boulevard in North Miami, Bulldog Barbecue is a no frills barbecue joint boasting treats so tasty your glands will salivate, all cooked up by celebrity chef/owner Howie “Bulldog” Kleinberg. You might remember him best from Bravo Network's Miami Season of Top Chef. Howie fell hard for barbecue after spending summers in North Carolina as a pup. He now enhances the down-to-earth fare with a few of the hautey tautey cooking techniques and ingredients he picked up cooking alongside some the nation’s best chefs. I checked out the place and fell in love with their barbecue ribs...delish! I also recommend their macaroni and cheese and chipotle fries (I love chipotle and fries, so this was a match made in heaven for me). The joint also serves other traditional favorites such as cole slaw, pulled pork, cheddar grits, burnt-end beans, and brisket. It's also very moderately priced ...sandwiches start at $9 and their baby back ribs go for $15 (half a rack). You definitely won't leave hungry.
