Dining Review: Le Tub ...Hamburger Heaven

This place hands down has one of the best hamburgers I've ever had in my life, and trust me I've had my share of hamburgers. It's no surprise it was even voted Best Hamburgers by GQ magazine. Don't let the tubs and toilet bowls outside fool you...Le Tub was established in 1959 as a Sunoco gas station, and was purchased in 1974 by a man who personally transformed the place into this waterfront restaurant, made out of flotsam, jetsam, and ocean-bone treasures gathered over 4 years of jogging on Hollywood Beach. But the waterfront location and unique building aren't the only things to marvel at. As you walk in, take note of the hand-painted bathtubs and toilet bowls (it's not at all gross; they're used as planters) lining the walkway. This place is definitely a hidden gem....seriously it's really easy to miss. I actually drove straight by it and had to make a U-turn. I had the sirloin burger which was 13 oz. of pure deliciousness served on a bun with lettuce and tomatoes with french fries. I was stuffed. I highly recommend it! They're also known for their chili and seafood, although I've never tried em'. The atmosphere is very laid back and they even have a pool table. So if you're looking for a place to relax, enjoy the sunset and have one amazing burger...then Le Tub is the place to be.
